Brefeldin A ReadyMadeTM Solution (BFA) is provided as a sterile-filtered solution of Brefeldin A formulated in DMSO at a concentration of 10 mg/ml. It has been filter-sterilized using a 0.22 μm filter. Brefeldin A is a fungal metabolite which disrupts the structure and function of the Golgi apparatus. It is a bioactive small molecule which is an activator of the sphingomyelin cycle. Brefeldin A may be used to study protein and lipid transport between Golgi complex and the cell surface.
