Anguinomycin A is a natural polyketide and analog of Leptomycin B, an inhibitor of protein nuclear export. It is isolated from Streptomyces spp., and displays anti-cancer activity. Anguinomycins B, C and D are also members of the Leptomycin family.
Anguinomycin A is soluble in ethanol and methanol but unstable in DMSO.
