Drimentine A belongs to a novel class of antibiotics, possessing a new terpenylated diketopiperazine structure, with antibiotic, antifungal and anthelmintic activity. Unlike Drimentine B and Drimentine C, Drimentine A does not have anticancer activity. It can be used in biochemical research.
Drimentine A is soluble in ethanol, methanol, DMF or DMSO. Limited water solubility.
Mechanism of Action | The mode of action of drimentine A has received little attention to date. |
Spectrum | Drimentine A is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, fungi, yeast, and parasites. |
