Formononetin is an isoflavonoid isolated from a variety of plants including Astragalus membranaceus, a traditional Chinese medicinal herb. It demonstrates many antimicrobial benefits including anti-inflammatory and antiviral activity, and anticancer activity against a variety of cancers including breast and lung cancer.
