About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Logistics / Supply Chain Specialist to support and optimize our end-to-end supply chain operations in Ghent, Belgium. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating procurement, inventory control, warehousing, transportation, and supplier communication to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
This role requires strong organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and experience in logistics planning and supply chain coordination within an international business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily logistics and supply chain operations, including inbound and outbound shipments
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, warehouses, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Monitor inventory levels and support stock planning to avoid shortages or overstock
- Track orders, shipments, and delivery schedules, and resolve any transport or customs-related issues
- Maintain accurate supply chain records, reports, and documentation
- Support procurement activities, including purchase orders, supplier follow-up, and delivery confirmation
- Analyze logistics performance and recommend improvements to reduce cost and improve efficiency
- Ensure compliance with Belgian, EU, and company regulations related to transportation, storage, and supply chain processes
- Work closely with finance, operations, and sales teams to support business needs
- Assist in developing and implementing supply chain strategies, SOPs, and process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, procurement, or operations coordination
- Good understanding of inventory management, transportation, and warehouse processes
- Familiarity with ERP systems, supply chain software, and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Knowledge of import/export procedures and customs documentation is an advantage
- Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail
