Monomethylsulochrin is a benzophenone isolated from Aspergillus fumigatus by Turner, ICI Ltd in 1965. Monomethylsulochrin inhibits eosinophil degranulation. Its dimethyl analogue, sulochrin, inhibits VEGF leading to inhibition of capillary-like tube formation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC).
