Quercetin Dihydrate, EvoPure is a natural, plant-derived antioxidant flavonoid with antibacterial, antiviral and anti-cancer properties. The product is highly pure (≥99%), fully characterized, and suitable for use as an analytical reference standard.
All EvoPure compounds are confirmed by spectral data including HPLC, NMR, mass spectrometry, and IR.
| Molecular Formula | C15H10O7 • 2H2O |
| Microbiology Applications | Pseudorabies virus (PRV) causes a critical swine disease. Natural products are an important source for novel antiviral agents. In vitro anti-PRV function of Quercitin was evaluated and found to significantly decrease the PRV virulent strain HNX at (IC50) of 2.618 μM (selectivity index 229) in a dose-dependent way. The compound inhibited a wide range of PRV strains including HNX, Ea, Bartha and Fa. This anti-PRV strategy is useful in compound discovery (Sun et al, 2021). |
| Plant Biology Applications | Quercitin is a quinone reductase 2 (QR2) inhibitor. This enzyme catalyzes the metabolism of toxic quinolines. Inhibition of this enzyme in plasmodium leads to lethal oxidative stress and death of hthe parasite. |
| Cancer Applications | Quercetin inhibits the expression of CPT1B via the STAT3 signaling pathway, influencing lipid metabolism and exerting antitumor effects. The combination of Quercitin and gemcitabine further enhanced in vitro efficacy with pancreatic cancer stem cells (PCSCs) (Huang et al, 2025). |
