Aspergillin PZ is an isoindole metabolite isolated from Aspergillus awarori by activity-guided fractionation and purification. Aspergillin PZ adversely affects the hyphae and spores of P. oryzae, a nitrogen-fixing bacterium. Aspergillin PZ has weak cytotoxic activity. It has anti-tumor properties.
