Aszonapyrone A is a polycyclic meroditerpene, initially isolated from Aspergillus zonatus by Isogai and collaborators at Tottori University, Japan and subsequently from other Aspergillus species. Aszonapyrone A is active against multidrug-resistant Gram-positive bacteria and bacterial biofilms.
