    Bis-Acrylamide

    ¥9,912.54 - ¥21,402.08

Bis-Acrylamide is the most frequently used cross-linking agent for protein separation applications using polyacrylamide gels.  The ratio of bis-acrylamide to acrylamide is reflected in the porosity of the polyacrylamide gel.  Polyacrylamide gels are mechanically strong, transparent, and easy to handle.  Polyacrylamide gels resolve most proteins compared to other gel media.

Bis-acrylamide powder is soluble in water.

    We also offer:

    • Bis-Acrylamide Solution, 2% (B031)
Microbiology Applications Acrylamide and bis-acrylamide can be synthetically modified into new polymers and compounds with antibacterial properties.
Electrophoresis Applications Bis-Acrylamide is used to create cross-links between acrylamide to generate polyacrylamide gels for electrophoresis such as polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE). The ratio of Bis-acrylamide to acrylamide manipulates the porous characteristics of the polyacrylamide gel.
