Chaetoglobosin A is a mycotoxin of the cytochalasin class produced by Chaetonium globosum. Like other cytochalasins, chaetoglobosin A has a broad biological profile with antitumor, nematocidal, antifungal, antibiotic and antiamebic activity. Chaetoglobosin A targets the cytoskeleton of chronic lymphocytic leukemia cells, inducing apoptosis.
