    SpectrumCidofovir dihydrate has a broad spectrum of antiviral activity against nearly all DNA viruses including poxviruses, papillomaviruses, adenoviruses, and herpesviruses. Cidofovir also targets HPV oncoproteins E6 and E7 which restores the antitumor function of p53.
