    Epothilone A

    R$1,938.66 - R$6,785.52
Epothilone A is a microtubule inhibitor isolated from the myxobacteria, Sorangium cellulosum. Epothilone A has been investigated in clinical trials as an antitumor agent.

Epothilone A is soluble in ethanol, methanol, DMF or DMSO. Poor water solubility.
Mechanism of ActionEpothilone A acts by stabilising microtubule formation at the taxol binding site, and causes cell cycle arrest at the G2/M transition, leading to cytotoxicity.
