Heronapyrrole B is a member of a family of farnesylated 2-nitropyrroles isolated from a marine-derived Streptomyces found on the Australian Barrier Reef by Capon et al at the University of Queensland, Australia. Heronapyrrole B is potently active against Gram-positive bacteria and has fungistatic activity.
