    ¥957.00 - ¥1,682.00

Hydrocortisone, USP (syn: Cortisol) is a glucocorticoid steroid hormone produced in the adrenal cortex. It can be used as a supplement in culture medium for oligodendrocytes, colon cells, and epithelial cells.

Hydrocortisone, USP is soluble in chloroform:absolute ethanol (1:1), sparingly soluble in ethanol and propylene glycol, slightly soluble in methanol and acetone, and practically insoluble in water.

Mechanism of Action Hydrocortisone interacts with glucocorticoid receptors and regulates various signaling pathways.  Hydrocortisone inhibits the bioactivity of the proinflammatory cytokine interleukin 6 (Briegal et al, 2001).
    Eukaryotic Cell Culture Applications

Hydrocortisone has been used as a supplement in culture media to enhance proliferation and differentiation of oligodendrocyte, colon, epithelial, and mesenchymal cells.
