    Nemadectin

    R$245.28 - R$1,115.52
    • Detailed Description

      CAS Number: 102130-84-7

      Molecular Formula: C36H52O8

      Molecular Weight: 612.79

Mechanism of Action: Nemadectin binds to the ion channels that are needed for invertebrate nerve and muscle cell function. This leads to an increase permeability leading to an influx of chloride ions and parasite paralysis.

      Storage Conditions: −20°C

    • Applications

Spectrum: Nemadectin is broad-spectrum antiparasitic agent effective against nematodes and insects. It has activity against the major canine gastrointestinal helminthes.

    • Specifications

      Form: Solid

      Source: Streptomyces sp.

      Purity Level: >95%

    • Technical Data

Solubility: Soluble in ethanol, methanol, DMSO and DMF

Nemadectin is a natural substance with broad-spectrum endectocidal, nematicidal and insecticidal activity. It is a macrocyclic lactone that is structurally similar to milbemycin and avermectin antibiotics, differing by the unsaturated side-chain extending from the 6,6-spiroketal core. This antiparasitic agent can be used as a starting material for the production of Moxidectin.
