    Phenylpyropene A

    RM1,510.50 - RM5,265.38

Phenylpyropene A is a meroterpenoid isolated from Penicillium griseofulvum by researchers at the Korean Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology in 2002. Phenylpyropene A inhibits conversion of cholesterol to cholesteryl esters via inhibition of acyl-CoA:cholesterol acyltransferase (ACAT). Phenylpyropene A also inhibits diacylglycerol acyltransferase (DGAT), the terminal step in triglyceride synthesis and essential for intestinal absorption and adipose tissue formation. Phenylpyropene A has significant cytotoxicity against Sf9 cells from the army worm, Spodoptera frugiperda.
