QC Technician (Chemical Quality Control)(EU)

Job Description

As a QC Technician (Chem) you carry out the experimental work of the scientific projects in order to deliver in a timely and efficient manner.

Position: Full-time

Location: Ghent (Belgium) or Rotterdam (Netherlands)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct chemical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products according to established SOP, specifications.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including performing calibration and troubleshooting issues, equipment included: HPLC, QC, UV-vis, ICP, IR, polarity meter etc.
  • Develop, validate and update analytical methods and SOPs according to pharmacopeia and related literature.
  • Perform stability testing to monitor shelf life over time according to plan combined testing results, procedures, and findings and prepare testing reports.
  • Analyze quality control data to identify trends and assist in troubleshooting quality issues.
  • Ensure all activities comply with company quality policy and external regulatory standards (GMP, or pharmacopoeia requirements).
  • Collaborate with production, R&D, and QA teams to address quality concerns and support product development.

Knowledge, Skills and Education:

  • Knowledge of operation of several pieces of analytical equipment
  • Team player who can work independently: Plan, organize, and prioritize work
  • Eager to work under a quality system (ISO 9001:2015)
  • Attention to detail and traceability in practical work and reporting
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Has knowlege of the market in the region
  • Willingness to relocate or collaborate internationally

    Education and Experience:

    • A professional bachelor's degree with expertise in preparative and analytical chromatographic tehniques is required
    • Posession of a higher education qualification such as a master's degree will be considered advantageous
