The hodgkinsines are indole alkaloids from Hodgkinsonia frutescens (family Rubiaceae) containing three linked tryptamine units. Hodgkinsine B is the enantiomer of hodgkinsine. There is scant information on the biological activity of hodgkinsine B due to lack of availability of the pure metabolite, however its analogue hodgkinsine has a broad bioprofile.
