The hodgkinsines are indole alkaloids from Hodgkinsonia frutescens (family Rubiaceae) containing three linked tryptamine units. There is not much information on the biological activity of hodgkinsine trimethyliodide due to lack of availability of the pure metabolite, however its analog hodgkinsine has a broad bioprofile.
