Teicoplanin A2-5 is the most non-polar analog of a family of lipoglycopeptides produced by Actinoplanes teichomyceticus. Teicoplanins possess potent broad-spectrum antibiotic activity against Gram-positive bacteria, including MRSA and E. faecalis.
Teicoplanin A2-5 is soluble in ethanol, methanol, DMF and DMSO.
