    Teicoplanin A2-2

    $366.54 - $1,278.42

Teicoplanin A2-2 is a major analog of a family of lipoglycopeptides produced by Actinoplanes teichomyceticus. They possess potent antibiotic activity against Gram-positive bacteria, including MRSA and Enterococcus faecalis.

    Molecular Formula C88H97Cl2N9O33
Spectrum Teicoplanin has antibiotic activity against Gram-positive bacteria
    Microbiology Applications

Teicoplanin is commonly used in clinical in vitro microbiological antimicrobial susceptibility tests (panels, discs, and MIC strips) against Gram-positive isolates.  Medical microbiologists use AST results to recommend antibiotic treatment options.  Representative MIC values include:

    • Clostridium difficile 0.125 µg/mL – 0.25 µg/mL
    • Staphylococcus aureus ≤ 0.12  µg/mL – 8 µg/mL
